Last night Dan and I went to see the Carolina Rollergirls Roller Derby in Raleigh. It was the first time either of us had been to a roller derby bout, but we both really enjoyed it. The bouts moved really quickly and it was fairly easy to pick up what was going on. We got to see 2 different bouts (one against a team from Columbia, SC and another from Lancaster, PA — which is right near where I used to live!). We even got to see a girl I used to work with at Lakewood while we were there! She’s on the roller derby team and was keeping track of the clock for the bouts that night.
