Christmas Outings

While in PA Allison went on a few Christmas outings. The girls went to Kraynak’s to see the Christmas displays. Allison got to see Santa at Kraynak’s another day with Mommy and Daddy — as you can see she was not particularly thrilled about seeing Santa. She didn’t cry, but she didn’t crack a smile either. We also got to go to McDonald’s with my cousin Laura while was at college close by.

Playing at Nana and Papa’s House

While at Nana and Papa’s house Allison worked on her golf swing with Papa, practiced the sit-and-spin, hugged Lilly (A LOT and LOVED IT), played on the iPad with Papa (a favorite thing to do with him), watched the adults rock it out with Rock Band, found a new love — playing in the bubbles!, played the piano with Nana, and made pizza.

Playing in the Snow

We went to visit my parents for Christmas. While we were there it snowed (a little). Allison had fun playing in it, but Papa was a little disappointed we didn’t get enough to use the sled.

December Misc.

Allison found her inner artist. She LOVES to color! Some other favorites in December were getting buried by laundry, playing with her dollhouse, touching the ornaments with one finger (this rule worked out really well!), and putting on and taking off the hat and mittens Nana sent.

Solar Panels

Something non-Allison related is that we had solar panels put on our roof in December. It was fascinating to watch the process. The solar panels will offset half of our energy usage too!

Trip to Georgia

We went and visited Dan’s parents in Georgia in early December and celebrated Christmas while we were there. Allison had fun playing with Grandma, Granddad, and uncle Ward. She loved playing with her new toys too — some of her favorites were a Mrs. Potato Head and a music kit. The girl loves playing along with bluegrass music! She got a table and chairs too which we now have set up and she uses all of the time!

First Trip to the Dentist

Allison went to the dentist for the first time in October. She’s had teeth since she was 3 months old so we thought it would be a good idea. She did okay, but was certainly not thrilled. She sat in the big chair, but wouldn’t open her mouth so they didn’t even try to clean her teeth. We did do a knee-to-knee exam (I think that’s what they call it) with the dentist though. Allison clenched her teeth closed, but didn’t cry. The doctor was able to get a look every once in awhile and said everything looked good!

Thanksgiving

This year we decided to host Thanksgiving at our house which was a lot of fun. We even tried to get some of our Christmas decorations up since we were having company. Allison enjoyed “helping” us.

15 months old

Allison and I went to the park one day and I got some sweet pictures of her and her baby (her FAVORITE toy!). I wanted to have some good 15 month pictures of her.

Here are some random pics from November. Allison was getting really good at stacking (anything from blocks to playdoughs — although stacking playdough is a lot easier than stacking blocks since they have a rim!). She also loved putting Mr. Potato Head parts on her — particularly earrings and hats.
