Dan and I decided to take a quick trip to Norfolk, Va. It was fun to get away for a few days and it wasn’t too far of a drive. The highlights of the trip were seeing the Curious George exhibit at the art museum and going to the Military Aviation Museum. We also enjoyed walks along the harbor and just happening upon some free live music at the park.
Dan had to go to Orlando for work in June, so Allison and I decided to join him. Since Allison was still really young we decided against doing Disney, but instead relaxed and really enjoyed the hotel amenities. We also got in a quick visit with Dan’s mom and dad!
How quickly this year has passed! In less than a month, Allison will be turning 1. In her one year, she has gone from our little “baby burrito” to a lightning-fast crawler (and almost walker) who according to Katie is acting very much like a toddler.
Here is the little invitation we created for her birthday party:
Allison got to go to The Museum of Life and Science with her friend Isaac. They had fun banging on musical instruments, relaxing in their strollers, and eating lunch together.
Allison is standing up anywhere and everywhere these days. It’s no longer challenging for her at all. She also loves to lay her head down (but just for a second or two) and smile up at us. So sweet!
