Katie’s parents (Jim and Kathy) came for a short visit during the first weekend in May. One of our outings was to Buckwheat Farms — our favorite local strawberry field. We picked about 10 pounds of strawberries and ate them in just a few days with strawberry ice cream, strawberry syrup for our pancakes, and just eating them straight! They are so sweet fresh from the farm!
Based on our blog, it looks like our lives consist of nothing but counting the weeks until the baby arrives. Well, that is partially true. In our other time, we have almost finished the nursery and have been working on several house projects. My parents came up about 2 weeks ago, and Katie’s parents are coming for a quick visit this weekend. Everyone wants to see pregnant Katie!!
Katie’s parents came for a quick visit this weekend and we made the most of our time together. Katie’s dad (Jim) and I hung shelves in the baby room and put together the new crib. Katie and her mom (Kathy) shopped for decorations and we all made at least one run to the Morrisville “Kids Everywear” consignment sale.
The baby room has come a long way this week, but is definitely still a work in progress. I’m sure it will come together over the next month or so.
This weekend we took a few days to go visit with my parents, grandmother, and extended family. They even threw us a little baby shower and my grandmother gave us a baby quilt she made over 20 years ago for this occasion.
