My friend Lisa came to stay with us while she went to a conference in the area.   It was great to see her and catch up with her!  We even got to eat some great NC BBQ while she was here.

In May, Grandma and Grandad came up to visit.  We spent some fun time at the park and we also went to the Taste of Morrisville.  Allison made sure to show them all that she had learned the past few months.

Allison is at such a fun and entertaining age right now.  Here are some various pictures that we took throughout the month of May.  She got her first taste of Rita’s italian ice, held my Mother’s Day flower, played clapping games with Daddy, and had fun bath times.

Two of her FAVORITE things to do this month were: 1) extend her arms and legs while arching her back (she may have gymnastics in her future) and 2) pull out books from her book basket (she would do this over and over and over again).

In May, The Bridge had a baby dedication and we had Allison dedicated.  We are so thankful for our little bundle of joy!

At the end of April/beginning of May we took a quick trip up to PA to visit with Nana and Papa.  Allison enjoyed showing off her crawling and pulling up skills, squealing at Lilly (my parents’ dog), and spending time with family.

Allison has started to pull up onto anything and everything (couches, our legs, boxes, toys, etc.) and she just started to cruise from side to side of the edge of the couch.   I’m sure she’s going to be perfecting that skill soon.  She also loves to walk around by holding onto our fingers too.  At this rate, I don’t think it’s going to be long before she decides to walk for herself!

We had a very relaxing Easter this year which was wonderful.  Allison turned 9 months old on Easter Sunday, which is hard to believe.   Our baby girl is going to be turning 1 before we know it!

Nana and Papa sent some yummy Easter goodies in the mail – Allison seemed to really enjoy digging through everything.  Dan even got a cute picture of her trying to eat the peanut butter cups.  I don’t blame her; they are yummy!

We had a great time celebrating Easter with our neighbors.  We had an Easter egg hunt on our street a few days before Easter and we also enjoyed a wonderful meal at Debbie and Joe’s (neighbors of ours who also go to our church).

After church we managed to get some sweet pictures of Allison in her Easter outfit.  She was in such a good mood and in one she almost appeared to be praying.  So cute!

Time is flying by!  Allison is now 9 months old and she continues to bring great joy to us.  For the most part she is a bundle of smiles and giggles . . . but don’t let her fool you . . . she definitely gives us the occasional pouty bottom lip.  Some of her favorite toys right now are kitchen bowls and spoons, remotes, and her xylophone.

It’s official, as of Tuesday (4/11) Allison knows how to crawl. It’s like the light bulb just suddenly came on and she said — “Oh, I know how to do that!” She also surprised us by going from a lying down position to a sitting position by herself that same day. In fact, Katie was trying to get the “sitting up” on video when Allison decided to take those first crawling steps!
